Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, assisting with various construction tasks, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction-related work, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring devices
- Experience in construction or carpentry work is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
- General handyman skills are a plus for versatile task completion
- Strong attention to safety procedures and teamwork-oriented mindset
Pay: $25.00 per hour
