Innovative Metal Works is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our growing team. We specialize in custom metal fabrication, including railings and stair systems for residential and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate must have experience fabricating stairs and railings from start to finish, reading shop drawings, and assisting with installations when required.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble custom railings and stair systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Perform layout, fitting, welding, and grinding as required
- Measure and prepare materials accurately for fabrication
- Install railings and stair systems on-site when required
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in railing and stair fabrication
- Strong knowledge of layout and fabrication techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Experience with MIG welding and fitting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Installation experience is considered an asset
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License
Pay & Benefits:
- $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)
- Full-time, permanent position
