Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical function, mobility, and strength to develop tailored rehabilitation programs
- Implement evidence-based treatment plans utilizing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies to ensure optimal recovery outcomes
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient sessions using electronic medical records systems with accuracy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications
- Manage case documentation efficiently while adhering to hospital protocols and healthcare regulations
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Kinesiologist with relevant licensing authorities
- Proven experience working in hospital settings or acute care environments with pediatric and adult populations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; experience with electronic medical records is essential
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively within tight timeframes
- Hands-on experience with pediatric rehabilitation and acute care scenarios preferred
- Strong analysis skills for assessing patient progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly
- Computer operation skills necessary for documentation, scheduling, and data management
