Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate finance and accounting team at our Vancouver Head Office. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth and close collaboration with senior leaders in a rapidly growing company. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manager of Accounting and play a key role in supporting our department’s goals.
As the Senior Accountant, you will be a motivated, growth-focused professional, with a keen eye for detail and a firm understanding of financial regulations, particularly as they apply to TSX-listed companies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health, providing accurate and timely reporting, and assisting in the strategic decision-making process.

Key / Major Accountabilities:
Key accountabilities of this position include.
- Close and Reporting: Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including preparing journal entries and accruals, and prepare the monthly Cash Flow Model and corporate cost report, analyzing actual results against budget and forecast and supporting weekly cash reporting to senior management.
- Group Consolidation Support: Prepare consolidation support workbooks for the group entities, including the Papua New Guinea, Australian, Canadian and BVI entities, reconciling intercompany balances and supporting the quarterly consolidation and financial statements.
- Revenue and Receivables: Maintain the concentrate sales invoice tracker and support the reconciliation of revenue and accounts receivable from gold concentrate and doré sales.
- Reconciliations and Controls: Prepare general ledger and intercompany reconciliations and adhere to internal financial controls consistent with National Instrument 52-109.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance teams in Canada, Australia and Papua New Guinea to ensure accurate and timely financial information is delivered to senior management.
- Audit Support: Prepare supporting schedules and respond to external auditor requests at quarter and year end.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Take ownership of ad hoc financial projects, providing support where needed to achieve department goals.
About You:
This position is ideally suited to someone with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation who wants to make the move from public practice into industry. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Audit experience, preferably with experience in the mining industry.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, and regulations pertaining to TSX reporting.
- Experience supporting consolidation and intercompany processes across multiple entities and currencies.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate, comprehensive, clear, and concise financial reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across time zones.
- Experience with financial systems is a plus but not required. We currently use QuickBooks and Pronto.

- Base salary commensurate with experience.
- Short-Term Incentive Program (cash bonus).
