Pathstone Mental Health is the only accredited provider of children’s mental health treatment in the Niagara Region. We are also the one of 33 provincial Children’s Mental Health lead agencies in the province.
We offer a broad spectrum of treatment services and programs, delivered by highly qualified staff to strengthen children and families. We serve all children and youth from birth through to their eighteenth birthday. A wide variety of services are provided ranging from one-on-one therapy, psycho-education workshops group therapy, and more intensive services such as residential treatment and crisis support. We help with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD and a variety of other mental health issues, including high risk behaviours.
Our services are in-person and if you are applying from outside of the Niagara Region we offer a relocation support program to assist you and your family with finding a new home and putting down roots here in Niagara.

Positions Available:
Social Worker/Registered Therapist 1 - ENS (up to 10 months): The Extensive Needs Integrated Pathway (“Extensive Needs Service”, “ENS”) proof of concept program is a specialized support program to provide clinical services to children with extensive needs (multiple and/or complex special needs) and their families. The program provides multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary services that can include adjusting medications, personalized behaviour support plans, mental health assessments and treatment, supports for families (e.g. coordinated service planning and social work), and specialized interventions to support children and youth to build skills such as communication and self-regulation. A multidisciplinary/ interdisciplinary team provides individualized treatments and supports that focus on effectively working together with families and current care teams to enhance capacity, reduce challenging/interfering behaviours, and treat underlying health concerns. Services support the child/youth to build skills (e.g., communication, self-regulation, etc.), as well as support the family, local service providers, and educators to learn skills and strategies to support the child in their home, school, and community. Additionally, the service will support the family as a whole, including siblings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S.W., or related discipline;
- Registered as a Social Worker with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or Registered as a Psychotherapist with the College of Psychotherapists;
- 3 -4 years relevant clinical experience
- Experience and / or training in evidence-based therapeutic interventions;
- Familiarity with offering services via virtual platforms (i.e. email, text, online counselling) would be considered an asset;
- If direct virtual supports are unfamiliar then an understanding of the various forms of virtual care as well as an understanding of clinical and privacy responsibilities would be an asset;
- Good communication and organizational skills;
- A current Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check within six (6) months;
- Bilingual in (French and English) is preferred;
- Experience working with the Indigenous population is an asset;
- Valid driver’s license, able to supply own vehicle, and be insurable to drive in Ontario
