Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless experience from intake to service completion. This role combines excellent customer service skills with automotive knowledge to facilitate repairs, upsell services, and maintain strong client relationships. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, and mechanical knowledge is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding repair needs and timelines.
- Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs to customers.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services that benefit the customer’s vehicle health.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of work orders, customer interactions, and sales activities.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Assist in promoting dealership services, specials, and warranty programs.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or mechanic background is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Proven sales ability, including upselling services in a professional manner.
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A friendly attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
