Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our new establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. Prior experience in food preparation, food handling, and hospitality is essential, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Micros POS. A background in supervising teams, managing restaurant operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards will be highly valued.
Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow and high-quality customer experiences.
- Supervise and train staff, including interviewing potential team members and conducting performance evaluations.
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Coordinate food service activities, including serving guests and managing kitchen operations to maintain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations related to food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
- Lead team management efforts by motivating staff, fostering teamwork, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage vendor relationships when applicable.
- Address customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant environment in accordance with health codes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles.
- Strong background in food industry operations including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food safety protocols.
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in team management and staff development.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling experience is required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and food safety standards.
- Experience with kitchen operations, food service, and hospitality environments; hotel or barista experience is a plus.
- Ability to interview potential employees effectively and build a cohesive team.
