About Division 88
Division 88 is Toronto's underground entertainment company — a live music venue, recording studio, music label, and YouTube media channel operating under one roof on Geary Avenue. We host artists, film them, and publish that content to a growing global audience. We don't follow trends. We document culture as it's being made.
The role
Our technical director captures and preps every shoot — fully synced multicam, colour corrected, ready to cut. Your job is to take that footage and turn it into a finished Division 88 video within 72 hours. Every week. Consistently. To a standard that doesn't waver.
This is not a creative direction role. The aesthetic is defined. What we need is someone fast, disciplined, and obsessive about the quality of the cut — someone who understands that the edit is where the energy either lives or dies.
What you'll do
Cut Live Session Series episodes from prepped multicam footage — 4 to 6 minutes, finished and exported within 72 hours of receiving the files
Maintain the Division 88 edit standard across every video — consistent pacing, camera sequencing, audio levels, and lower thirds
Export vertical cuts for Reels and TikTok from the same session footage
Work directly with the technical director and creative director — minimal handholding, maximum output
Support event recap and original format edits as the content calendar scales
What we're looking for
2+ years editing music, live performance, or documentary content — show us the work
Fluent in Final Cut Pro — multicam editing specifically, not just basic cuts
You understand music — rhythm, dynamics, energy — and it shows in how you cut
Deadline isn't a suggestion — 72 hours means 72 hours
You know what COLORS, Mahogany, and Lyrical Lemonade are — or you're about to
Based in Toronto — this role is on-site at 225 Geary Avenue
Nice to have
Experience optimising content for YouTube — thumbnails, retention, pacing for watch time
Motion graphics or title card experience in Final Cut or After Effects
You shoot as well as you edit
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
