Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role involves performing cleaning tasks across various areas, ensuring a hygienic environment for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, carpets, windows, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance tasks to ensure safety and functionality of the premises
- Follow established cleaning protocols to meet health and safety standards
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
Pay: $17.20-$32.11 per hour
