Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting overall restaurant operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer engagement within the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders efficiently
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and integrity
- Assist with food preparation and food service when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cashier area and dining space
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Support team members with serving and other duties as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Previous experience in the food industry or serving roles is desirable
Pay: $32.55-$36.04 per hour
