The Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of Fielders across all four Field Law offices. This role requires understanding the user experience and taking ownership of Fielder’s ability to use technology effectively in their daily activities. On-going interaction and communication with Fielders is necessary to determine appropriate training needs, establish rapport, and gauge the satisfaction of training programs.

Design, develop and maintain engaging learner-centered training programs, courses, and supporting materials that align with business objectives, technology initiatives, and adult learning best practices.

Partner with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and technical teams to analyze learning needs and create effective learning solutions for new systems, processes and organizational initiatives.

Design learning content across a variety of formats, including instructor-led training, eLearning modules, job aids, videos, workshops, simulations, and performance support resources.

Apply adult learning principles and instruction design methodologies to create impactful learning experiences that support knowledge retention, skill development, and behavioral change.

Assess learner needs, technical competencies, and workflow requirements to recommend targeted learning strategies for individuals and teams.

Deliver learning programs and facilitate training sessions, including virtual learning, workshops, coaching, demonstrations, and other learner engagement activities.

Research emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design, adult education, learning technologies, and workplace learning to enhance the firm’s learning offerings.

Develop and maintain user documentation, guides, knowledge resources, and other learning assets to support ongoing adoption and effective use of firm-standard technology and processes.

Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of firm-standard applications, technology solutions, policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure learning content remains accurate and relevant.

Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of new technologies, software enhancements, and process changes to ensure learning requirements are identified and addressed early in the project life cycle.

Consult with Fielders to identify technology challenges, understand workflows, and make recommendations on best use of technology to meet their needs.

3+ years of experience training in the legal industry (technical training experience may be considered in lieu of legal industry experience).

Experience writing and formatting training materials and user documentation.

3+ years of progressively related instructional design experience.

Demonstrated technology training experience.

A foundational understanding of technology and how technology can be used for automation, collaboration, and improvements in efficiency.

Commitment to continuous learning and helping Fielders use firm tools more effectively.

Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, curriculum development and adult learning principles.

Strong ability to translate complex business processes and technical concepts into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences.

Excellent written communication and content development skills, with a focus on clarity, usability, and learner engagement.

Familiarity with learning technologies, authoring tools, and learning management systems is considered an asset.
