Job Overview
UpMeals is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Team Member to support our daily meal packaging and order fulfillment operations. This role focuses on accurately packaging, labeling, organizing, and preparing finished meals for delivery while maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
Working closely with the packaging, prep, and execution teams, the Packaging Team Member plays a critical role in ensuring every order leaves our facility correctly packed and ready for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Package finished meals accurately according to daily production plans
- Label products correctly, ensuring compliance with food safety and customer requirements
- Organize packaged meals for storage and delivery
- Perform quality checks to ensure products are sealed, labeled, and packed correctly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in packaging and storage areas
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors of shortages
- Work collaboratively with kitchen, prep, and logistics teams to meet deadlines
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines consistently
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse operations is an asset
- Ability to work in cold environments (10°C production area, 4°C fridge, -18°C freezer)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Basic communication skills (verbal and written)
- Comfortable using simple checklists or digital tools (training provided)
- Must be able to bend, lift, twist, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour
