Responsibilities
User Support Technician is responsible to communicate with clients to identify the problems and provide possible solutions; troubleshoot by using a variety of tools and software such as UBCD, PC Check, SiSoftware Sandra; help clients to design and set up specific computer systems, software and networks such as building up a LAN network for small business, maintenance and problem solving; reconfigure the computer hardware such as motherboard, CPU, memory, video card, sound card and network card to ensure computers' compatibility, stability and functionality; test and determine what computer components can be recycled and provides weekly detail report to the manager for final approval; communicate with manufacturers and suppliers to accomplish Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) transactions; direct technical department and gives technical training to workers in order to improve their skills and efficiency.
Qualifications
Diploma from recognized technical institution in the area of computer Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1+ years hands-on computer systems/networking experience in the installation, setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of Intel-based computers and associated peripheral equipment.
- Skills include Fix skills for desktops and notebooks, capable of replacing various hardware devices;
- Ability to easily troubleshoot DELL, IBM, HP,Toshiba hardwares;
- Ability to communicate technical solutions at a management level in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin;
- Strong client focus and genuine desire to assist;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all users;
- Very good working knowledge of microcomputer software including Microsoft Office, standard email clients and Windows XP operating system;
- Fluent in speaking English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
