Description:
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Advanced Prescribing Authority (APA). Practice to expanded scope including APA and lab ordering. Clinically deployed with recent direct patient care experience (at least 1 year within the last 3 years) in general surgery. At least 2 to 5 years of recent hospital experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience on a multi-disciplinary team. Hospital residency. Previous experience with training and precepting. Ability to use evidence-based medicine in direct patient care. Motivated and self-directed for on-going continuing competence. Previous project or research experience and committee work. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP).
