Production Assembler

THE ROLE:

The Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for the assembly and inspection of electronic assemblies and
components. These include printed circuit boards, cables, wiring harnesses, and enclosures. Other tasks
include performing quality checks to ongoing builds. Work is performed under the general direction of
the Production Supervisor and is reviewed daily. Strong attention to detail and consistently high-quality
workmanship are required.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this role is $24-27 per hour, though actual compensation may vary based on factors
such as experience and qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assembles electronic circuit boards, wiring harnesses, cabling, mechanical sub-assemblies, and

complete system assemblies using standard production documentation (e.g., assembly drawings,
schematics, and component descriptions).

Prepares and assembles kits of electronic components from inventory based on Bill of Materials

(BOM) documentation.

Installs and configures production software and firmware in completed electronic assemblies.
Completes quality inspections in accordance with established standards and documentation

requirements.

Handles and stores materials and products in accordance with prescribed procedures, maintaining

accurate quality records.

Identifies, documents, and helps resolve product quality issues, including controlling nonconforming

products until deficiencies are corrected.

Initiates and supports corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and production

processes, including verifying implementation.

Documents production and testing activities and supports maintenance of assembly, test, and

configuration management records.

Supports production scheduling by completing assigned work within established timelines and

budget parameters.

Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of

production processes.

Provides training and guidance to new Production Assemblers on standard processes and

procedures.

Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Assembler in electronics industry in a leadership role
General knowledge of production techniques, standards, manufacturing and quality control

principles and practices.

Knowledge of all aspects of electronic circuit board assembly including component handling,

soldering and cleaning in a static controlled environment.

Understanding of all aspects of electronic hardware assembly including cable assembly, mechanical

support hardware and enclosure assembly.

Basic knowledge of computer operations including file manipulation, program initiation and

operation, and connection to serial and parallel ports.

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a high-energy environment with minimum

supervision.

Basic knowledge of ERP systems and their use.
Commitment to high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
