NOW HIRING – Disability Camp Counselor OCTD Shining Star Summer Camp The Organization for Canadian Tamils with Disability (OCTD) is seeking caring, energetic, and responsible individuals to join our Shining Star Summer Camp team as Disability Camp Counselors. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and youth with disabilities in a fun, inclusive, and engaging summer camp environment. Position: Disability Camp Counselor Location: OCTD Shining Star Summer Camp Schedule: 5 days per week Employment Type: Seasonal / Summer Position Responsibilities - Support children and youth with disabilities during camp activities - Assist with games, crafts, outings, and recreational programming - Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment - Provide encouragement, supervision, and emotional support to participants - Work collaboratively with camp staff and families - Assist participants with daily routines and individual needs as required Qualifications - Experience working with children and/or individuals with disabilities is an asset - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Patient, compassionate, and dependable - Ability to work in a fast-paced camp setting - First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset - Students in social services, education, child and youth work, DSW, or related fields are encouraged to apply
