Precision Machinist - Manual Lathe
Our client is looking for Manual Lathe Machinists to join their growing machine shop operations in Concord, Ontario. The company specializes in the manufacturing and assembly of precision-machined components for a wide range of industrial applications.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of materials and custom parts while contributing to high-quality machining, repair, and finishing processes in a modern production environment.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Set up and operate manual lathe machines to required tolerances
- Machine custom components and assemblies to precise measurements
- Calculate dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements
- Repair and modify existing components as needed
- Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment accurately
- Perform deburring and surface finish inspections on completed parts
- Operate hand tools and related machining equipment safely
- Grind inserts for custom machining profiles when required

Qualifications
- 3+ years of manual machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and tools
- Familiarity working with materials such as Titanium, Inconel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Bronze, and 17-4 PH
- Experience machining O-ring grooves
- Experience polishing surfaces to fine finish specifications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong understanding of machining safety practices
