K9ine Security is hiring Licensed Security Guards for a unique seasonal opportunity supporting the Northumberland District ATV Club (NDATV).
This isn’t your typical security assignment. As an ATV Trail Security Officer, you’ll spend your shift outdoors, patrolling ATV trail systems using a side-by-side vehicle while helping promote safe, responsible, and enjoyable trail experiences.

About the Role
As an ATV Trail Security Officer, you will support safe and responsible ATV trail use by monitoring trail systems, educating riders, and promoting compliance with NDATV trail requirements.
Using a side-by-side ATV, you will patrol designated trail areas, interact with riders, verify trail pass requirements, document concerns, and help maintain positive relationships with the ATV community.
This is a public-facing security role where professionalism, communication, and good judgment are essential.
Responsibilities
- Patrol NDATV trail systems using a side-by-side ATV
- Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout assigned trail areas
- Monitor trail activity and identify unsafe riding practices, unauthorized use, or rule violations
- Verify NDATV trail pass requirements and educate riders on access requirements
- Provide information regarding trail rules, responsible riding practices, and safety expectations
- Promote voluntary compliance through professional communication and education
- Document incidents, safety concerns, trail damage, and maintenance issues
- Complete accurate patrol logs and reports
- Report unauthorized trail use or repeated concerns when required
- Support trail safety initiatives and community awareness activities
- Work professionally with riders, volunteers, landowners, and community partners

Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence (Required)
- Valid CPR Certification (Required)
- Valid driver’s licence (Required)
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Previous security, ATV, trail, conservation, customer service, or public-facing experience considered an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ATV clubs, trail systems, outdoor recreation, or community organizations
- Knowledge of ATV safety practices and responsible riding
- First Aid certification or additional safety training
- Experience working in a public education, compliance, or customer service role
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work on ATV trail systems in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Seasonal weekend shifts
- May involve riding in or operating a side-by-side ATV
- Requires interaction with trail users, community members, and volunteers
- Requires professionalism, patience, and strong communication skills in a variety of situations
