And we are looking for a seasoned Enhancement Crew Lead to fill a current opening. As our Enhancement Crew Lead, you will blend your eye and passion for horticulture with strong team management. Our standards are high and yours should be too. Our Enhancement Crew handles all jobs that change a property, including special projects planting, and repairs, ensuring every site meets our strict quality standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Promote a positive team environment through motivation, effective communication, and proactive problem-solving skills

Effectively lead and be responsible for a crew of two to four members to construct enhancement projects from reading plans and drawings to final touches

Coordinate materials, equipment and daily job flow.

Actively participate in the completion of the daily work schedule

Perform various landscaping and construction tasks
- Keep projects on schedule and within budget

Train and support crew members as they develop
-
Read site plans and communicate those plans to the team

Operate and drive work trucks and trailers as required
- Operate power tools and equipment including, but not limited to, loaders, lawn mowers, sod cutters and chain saws

Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to clients as required
- Communicate updates, issues and anomalies (good and bad) to the Division Manager

Enter and maintain timesheets

Complete site and equipment documentation
-
Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment and report any issues, damages, etc.
- Keep projects on schedule and within budget

Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to clients as required by Management
Qualifications
- Minimum two to four years of practical experience in a crew leader role for softscaping and landscape maintenance. Hardscape experience an asset

One to two years of garden maintenance experience – cultivating, edging, pruning, dead heading, etc.
- One or more years of experience in grass cutting and trimming
- Basic plant identification and care knowledge
- Valid G driver’s license required

Experienced with driving truck and trailer

Level 1 First Aid an asset
-
Horticulture diploma an asset
- Pesticide licence an asset

Strong oral and written communication skills
- Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality, timely results with minimal supervision

- Highly motivated and passionate about the business
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Full time. Occasional extended hours may be required.

Work outdoors in many different conditions. (Read: Most of them.)

Travel (between job sites, etc.)

Lift and move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally up to fifty pounds

Lots of standing, bending and crouching.
