Looking to fill a permanent job opening for a Brake Press Operator - Fabricator. We are a 75 year old family business operating in Barrie, both a supplier of sheet metal and custom manufacturer of sheet metal products. We are a small business with a small number of employees.
Previous Brake Press set-up experience is preferred but we can teach the right person. Metal Fabrication experience is required. Applicants will need to be able to read drawings/blueprints and be proficient in both inches and metric. They will be proficient in math and have a general knowledge of construction. Persons with a positive and energetic personality will do well. Hours are 44 per week, Monday to Friday only. Depending on experience your starting wage is negotiable with advancement possible. Benefits are available.
An essential service to the area, we are very busy. We have no timeline but could start someone immediately.
EDIT: This job is for an experienced fabricator. We would like the fabricator to be able to weld but it is not a welder that we are looking for. We are a fab shop, not a weld shop, most of our customers are weld shops.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up press brake machines for metal fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate measurements and specifications.
- Perform quality inspections to maintain high standards of production.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
