Associate Position — Internal Medicine or Internal Medicine Subspecialty
Amherstburg Clinical Specialist Centre — Amherstburg, Ontario
We are seeking an internal medicine specialist or subspecialist to join our Amherstburg location as an associate.
Clinical need
Amherstburg and the surrounding Essex County communities have limited local access to internal medicine and its subspecialties. Referrals in most disciplines currently travel to Windsor or further. An associate joining the clinic can expect referral volume from the outset.
Practice model
You practise independently and retain full clinical autonomy over your patients and your schedule. In-person clinic days are set according to your availability rather than a fixed roster, and the clinic accommodates whatever cadence works for your existing commitments.
The clinic has the infrastructure to support remote follow-up, so return visits that do not require physical examination can be conducted virtually, with our staff handling scheduling, patient preparation, and documentation on this end.
Facilities
Cardiac diagnostics are performed on site — echocardiography, stress echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Patients are able to complete consultation and testing at a single location rather than being sent elsewhere and returning weeks later, which shortens the interval between assessment and management decisions.
Startup and overhead
The clinic is established and operating. There is no capital contribution, no buy-in, and no fixed monthly commitment. Space, equipment, reception and administrative staff, referral intake, booking, EMR, IT, and billing support are already in place.
Overhead is 10% of professional income. Terms are open to discussion.
