Overview
We are seeking a motivated Carpenters Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and capable of supporting skilled carpenters in completing diverse building tasks. Prior experience in construction or related fields such as woodworking, handyman services, or manufacturing is a plus but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical tasks are essential.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and organization
- Support carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools
- Assist with installation of cabinets, flooring, and woodworking projects
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with the movement of materials and equipment around job sites
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction-related skills such as blueprint reading, hand tools, power tools, or schematics is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Basic understanding of construction processes including framing, roofing, siding, or finishing work is advantageous
- Experience with woodworking, cabinetry installation, or restoration projects is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150.00-$350.00 per day
