Job Overview
Flamez Concession Inc. is hiring a General Labourer to assist with the construction and assembly of custom food trucks. This position is suitable for someone who is hands-on, reliable, physically capable, and willing to learn different parts of the food truck building process.
The role may involve assisting with basic construction, preparing materials, handling tools, cleaning work areas, moving equipment, and supporting skilled tradespeople during food truck builds.
Responsibilities
- Assist with building and assembling custom food trucks
- Help move, lift, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
- Prepare work areas and materials for construction or installation
- Assist with cutting, measuring, sanding, drilling, and fastening materials
- Support welders, electricians, fabricators, and other tradespeople as needed
- Help install interior and exterior components in food trucks
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe
- Follow instructions from supervisors and senior tradespeople
- Use hand tools and power tools safely when required
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
Qualifications
- Previous general labour, construction, shop, or hands-on work experience is an asset
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for long periods
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Welding, electrical, fabrication, or construction experience is an asset but not required
Preferred Skills
- Basic tool knowledge
- Construction or renovation experience
- Shop or warehouse experience
- Mechanical or hands-on experience
- Ability to measure, cut, and assemble materials
- Interest in learning food truck construction
Compensation
Starting from $17.91 per hour, based on experience and ability.
