Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Lawyer to join our legal team. Our firm practices in the area of Immigration, Family Law, Criminal Law, RTB Matters, Small Claims, and General Litigation, matters, The ideal candidate will support our principal lawyer in handling a diverse range of legal matters, conducting research, drafting documents, and negotiating on behalf of clients. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case preparation and strategy development
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and other correspondence with precision and clarity
- Assist in preparing cases for trial by organizing evidence, drafting motions, and reviewing case files
- Support negotiation processes with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes
- Review and analyze legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Attend court proceedings, client meetings, and depositions as needed to provide legal support
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies and procedures
Experience
- Prior experience as a law clerk or associate in a law firm or corporate legal department is preferred
- Proficiency with LexisNexis or similar legal research tools is highly desirable
- Strong negotiation skills demonstrated through previous coursework or practical experience
- Excellent research abilities coupled with exceptional writing skills for clear and persuasive legal drafting
- Familiarity with legal procedures, courtroom protocols, and document management systems is advantageous
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
Pay: $100,000.00-$175,193.68 per year
