We are looking for a packaging operator to work primarily on the day shift (6am-2:15pm).
Successful applicants must have experience with an electric walkie and a desire to learn more about the paperboard business and further their skills.
Opportunities:
Packaging Operator
- Perform final quality check on the sheeted product
- Moving skids to automatic wrapping machines
- Measure and cut wooden braces for every skid using a chop saw
- Use of a sledgehammer to align sheeted product on skids
- Complete the process by strapping skid with a handheld automatic strapping tool
- Organization skill required to manage 3 machines feeding product
- Using a skid turner to pull damaged sheets from a pile
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to work well with an independent team
- Shift work flexibility required
