Overview
We are seeking a talented and innovative Website Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually compelling, user-friendly websites that align with our brand identity and business goals. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop engaging digital experiences, utilizing a broad range of design and development tools, and ensuring optimal website performance. The Website Designer will play a key role in shaping our online presence through creative design, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, aesthetically appealing websites using tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Implement interaction design principles to enhance user engagement and usability across various platforms.
- Create motion graphics and visual effects using Adobe After Effects or Adobe Animate to enrich website content.
- Develop and maintain websites built on platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or custom solutions using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, Angular, or Node.js.
- Optimize websites for SEO best practices and ensure web accessibility standards are met for all users.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve user experience (UX/UI).
- Analyze website data using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven enhancements.
- Maintain existing websites through updates, troubleshooting, and regular content refreshes to ensure optimal performance.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, InVision, Balsamiq, Axure, and Figma.
- Expertise in interaction design, visual design (UI/UX), typography, and information architecture.
- Experience with front-end development including HTML5, CSS3 (and preprocessors like SCSS), JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular), AJAX, Bootstrap, Node.js, Redux, Less/SASS.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and usability principles to create inclusive digital experiences.
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal; experience with website maintenance is preferred.
- Understanding of SEO strategies and digital marketing tools including Google Analytics and Mailchimp.
- Ability to analyze data for insights into user behavior and site performance; strong data analysis skills are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders across departments; ability to translate business needs into creative solutions.
