About the Role
This role is responsible for managing the full client acquisition process from initial outreach through onboarding and internal handoff.
You will oversee:
- Outbound prospecting
- Inbound lead management
- Discovery calls
- Proposal coordination
- Client follow-up
- Onboarding coordination
- Implementation support
- Transition into the service team
- CRM and pipeline management
This is a highly client-facing role that combines business development, relationship management, operational coordination, and sales pipeline management.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, professional, and capable of independently managing multiple client conversations, opportunities, and workflows simultaneously.
This is not a high-pressure sales environment. Success in this role comes from strong communication, organization, consistency, process management, and relationship-building.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Management
- Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-up
- Manage inbound inquiries and lead responses
- Qualify prospective clients
- Coordinate and attend discovery calls
- Build and maintain prospect relationships
- Follow up consistently on outstanding opportunities
- Reactivate dormant opportunities where appropriate
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Maintain and organize HubSpot CRM
- Build and manage sales pipelines and workflows
- Track opportunity stages, follow-ups, and next steps
- Maintain accurate client notes and communication records
- Support development and refinement of sales processes
- Monitor pipeline health, activity, and conversion tracking
- Ensure CRM data hygiene and reporting consistency
Proposal & Sales Coordination
- Coordinate proposal preparation and delivery
- Guide prospects through the decision-making process
- Maintain proposal follow-up and communication
- Support closing and engagement execution
- Track sales activity and pipeline progression
Client Onboarding & Implementation
- Coordinate onboarding documentation and information gathering
- Manage onboarding communication and timelines
- Ensure smooth transition into the service delivery team
- Maintain accurate onboarding notes and records
- Coordinate internally with bookkeeping and advisory teams
- Track implementation status and outstanding client items
- Support process improvement across onboarding and handoff workflows

Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience in business development, account management, client success, sales coordination, or similar client-facing roles
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Strong HubSpot CRM experience
- Experience building, managing, and maintaining sales pipelines
- Ability to independently manage lead flow and opportunity tracking
- Strong organizational and process management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Professional and solution-oriented approach
Considered an Asset
- Experience in professional services environments
- Exposure to bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, finance, or business operations
- AI integration experience
- Experience selling recurring service-based offerings
- Project coordination or onboarding experience
- Experience improving or designing sales workflows and automations
Compensation Structure
In addition to hourly compensation, this role includes a commission structure tied to recurring client revenue.

- Onboarding is completed
