Landscape Team Member
Beamish Landscape Services has been in operation in the St. Thomas area for 30 years. We pride ourselves on being a professional and well-established family business.
The landscape team member position would allow for the candidate to work on a variety of jobs ranging from:
Landscape Construction: Helping to build but not limited to; Patios, ponds, retaining walls, water features, decks, pergolas, drainage work etc. This includes machine operating and site work during each of the projects.
Horticulture Technician/Garden Maintenance: Helping to install but not limited to; Gardens of all variety, tree planting, mulching, laying sod, pruning, hedging, tree removal etc. This could also include the regular garden maintenance, including but not limited to; pruning, edging, hedge trimming, dead heading, specialty pruning, etc.
Lawn Maintenance: Assisting in professional property maintenance practices. This includes but not limited to; general maintenance of our list of properties, like mowing, trimming, vertical trimming, and blowing. Can operate power tools and hand tools to perform maintenance tasks. Collaborate with a team.
The candidate would be directed to wherever they best fit within our company.
Requirements:
-A positive attitude
-Good work ethic and stamina
-Good time management & problem-solving skills
-G class drivers license or higher is mandatory.
-Experience with landscape equipment (Skid steers, excavators, telehandler, quick cut, blower, mowers, hedge trimmers etc.) is an asset
-Must have reliable transportation to and from work
-Attention to detail
-Any green industry experience is an asset.
Contract length: 12 months
