Design Drafter

We have an opportunity for a Design Drafter to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this role you will be responsible for providing innovative and high-quality products in an environment where your ideas and expertise drive meaningful improvements.
What you will do:As a Design Drafter, you’ll take on a variety of exciting responsibilities, including:· Using CAD to design and draft parts, assemblies, and automation solutions.· Capturing geometry and measurements with precise 3D scanning equipment.· Developing and improving jigs, fixtures, and processes to enhance efficiency and quality.· Using CAM to develop and verify machining programs (up to 3-axis machining).· Providing cross-functional support for CNC machining, lathe and turret punching operations.· Working with others to resolve production challenges and to improve processes.Qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficient in CAD (3+ years, Autodesk Inventor is a plus)/CAM software, MS Excel, and working with tolerances in metric and imperial units.
- Experience in independent operation of lathes and mills; CNC experience a plus.
- A creative, detail-oriented mindset with a positive, team-focused approach.
- A demonstrated desire to continuously learn and develop your skills.
