Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Caulker to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sealing joints, gaps, and cracks to ensure the integrity and durability of various structures. This role requires proficiency with hand tools, caulking techniques, and a solid understanding of construction processes. The Caulker will need fall arrest and swing stage experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply caulking materials to joints, seams, and cracks in walls, floors, and fixtures using hand tools and caulking guns
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking prior to caulking or sealing
- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper installation of material
- Assist in restoration projects by sealing gaps in existing structures to improve insulation and prevent leaks
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Prior experience with caulking or sealing in construction or restoration settings is preferred
- Knowledge of hand tools and their proper use in construction projects
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to accurately execute project specifications
- Experience working with materials such as silicone, polyurethane, or acrylic sealants
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
