Mill Ridge, a local golf course in Chester, NS, is currently seeking Summer Students and Full-Time Seasonal Grounds Staff/Labourers to assistant in the maintenance operations of the golf course for the 2026 season.
Job Summary:
The grounds keepers, under the direction of the golf course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, is responsible for the daily activities involved with the golf course maintenance. This position is best suited for an energetic individual that enjoys manual labour as well as working outdoors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating mowing equipment (walk behind mower/ride on mower/whipper snipper)
Maintenance of all areas found on a golf course
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools, and equipment for the task
Must be physically able to complete daily tasks
Ensure safety of fellow employees
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
Possesses a valid Class 5 License
Ability to follow oral and written directions
Understand of different methods used within landscape maintenance, preferable within a golf course environment
Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring the use of independent judgement and action
Experience working within a golf course environment would be considered an asset
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that work is completed properly
Comply with all safety policies and procedures
Working safely is a condition of employment
