We Are Hiring for 2 Positions!
We are looking to expand our team and are hiring for the following two positions:
Position 1 - Casual Support Worker (Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and Edmonton)
- As a Casual Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work flexible hours and often receive full-time hours. You’ll be cross-trained across multiple programs to provide versatile support.
Position 2 - Alternate Weekend Support Worker Spruce Grove
This position requires availability to work weekends as follows:
You will provide essential support to individuals in our programs.
Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individuals care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting clients with medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
- Assisting with meal preparation to ensure clients receive nutritious and balanced diets.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence.
- Engaging individuals in activities that promote physical and mental stimulation.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous experience in the disability sector
- Education in Child in Youth, Social work, or Community Support
- A strong commitment to providing compassionate care to individuals with varying needs
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.

Pre - hiring requirements (all position):
Please notes we will only consider applicant who are able to provide the following:
- Criminal Record Check (current within 3 months)
- Child Welfare Check (current within 3 months)
- Drivers License - Minimum of 1 year driving history
- Roadworthy vehicle with 2 million liability insurance
- Driver’s Abstract (current within 3 months)
Required Training/Certification (all positions)
- Emergency First Aid and CPR - Applicants must possess current certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR. Successful applicants who do not possess current certification will be required to obtain this training at their own cost at the time of hire.
Mandatory Training Requirements (all positions):
CommunityAIM requires applicants to have current certification or complete the following training:
- Medication Administration
- Mandt System (Crisis Intervention Training) or equivalent (Non Violent Crisis Intervention NVCI)
- Abuse Protocol training
- Diversity
- Infection Prevention and Control
- Health and Safety
Job Types: Permanent, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 11 months
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60.0 per week
