*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees camp program planning, administration and delivery. Provides guidance and coaching to camp staff. Responds to enquiries and escalated matters from camp participants, parents and senior management representatives. Works in conjunction with directors to define camp programs for the upcoming season.

Job Requirements:
- Must have a post secondary degree in recreation and leisure, education, youth work, business management, sports management, early childhood education or equivalent.
- 3 - 5 years of related experience or staff management experience
- Must hold a valid Emergency First Aid/CPR B Certification
- Previous experience playing basketball at a competitive level is an asset
- Previous experience working with children is an asset
- Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Criminal Record Search - Vulnerable Sector Screening
Job Responsibilities:
- Under the Camp Director the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and delivery of a comprehensive camp program to meet the needs of staff and participants
- Manage programs daily to provide direction and ongoing coaching to enhance staff’s program knowledge, teaching techniques and program planning skills
- To provide quality customer service to all staff, parents, campers and volunteers
- Be responsible for knowing, understanding, training, and executing all camp policies and emergency procedures associated with Aspire for Higher Basketball
- Prepare staff schedules, ensure appropriate staff coverage during arrival and departure of campers, review staff’s logged hours
- To conduct safety checks of program equipment and facilities daily. Reporting anything that impact the quality and safe delivery of the program in a timely manner
- To perform other related duties as assigned
Contract 8 -12 weeks depending on availability from June - August 2026
