The Junior HR Business Partner collaborates with retail management to support the day-to-day human resources activities across multiple store locations and provinces. This role provides guidance on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, engagement, and HR policies while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company standards.
A day in the life of a Junior HR Business Partner

Support recruitment initiatives by creating job postings, developing interview tools and implementing innovative ways to attract talent, and ensuring a seamless onboarding

Build strong partnerships with retail management and provide guidance on employee related concerns

Assist managers with performance management, coaching, and employee development plans

Support employee relations by leading investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes

Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs

Assist with leave management, accommodations, and return-to-work processes

Analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and hiring trends, providing recommendations for improvement
-
Own the full cycle HR admin process for the employee lifecycle and benefits administration
-
Ensure HR practices/procedures are fully compliant with Company policies and applicable legislation.

Manage the JHSC at Head Office and the overall H&S requirements at each Store.

Participate in HR projects, process improvement, and organizational initiatives
Who you are

You possess strong work ethic with solid business acumen, highly organized with the ability to multi-task

You have excellent leadership skills including managing, coaching, mentoring and team building skills

You have the ability to establish and maintain confidentiality, credibility and sound judgement

You are results and people oriented, having sound judgment and the ability to balance multiple business considerations

You are comfortable to working in a fast-paced, changing environment
What you need
-
A post-secondary education in HR, Business or equivalent experience is required.

Working towards or holding a CHRP designation
-
3 – 5 years of solid HR consulting experience
-
Experience working in a retail environment is an asset
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid experience using an HRIS (experience using ADP Workforce now is an asset)
