Position Summary
Ingersoll Paper Box Co. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Off-Shift Warehouse Support (Shipping & Receiving) team member to support warehouse operations during off-shift hours. This role is responsible for accurately preparing customer shipments, receiving finished goods into inventory, operating forklifts safely, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently while supporting production requirements.
The successful candidate will be safety-focused, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesShipping & Receiving
- Prepare daily shipping schedules and pick tickets.
- Pull inventory according to shipping requirements.
- Safely prepare, stack, wrap, and secure skids for shipment.
- Generate bills of lading and other required shipping documentation.
- Prepare customs documentation for applicable shipments.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
- Receive finished product into the warehouse, verify load tags, and accurately store inventory.
- Enter inventory transactions into the Imaginera inventory management system.
- Coordinate shipment pickups with third-party carriers.
- Create Certificates of Compliance as required.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with annual physical inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Cross-train to provide coverage as an Area Leader when required.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Area Leader, Production Supervisor, Scheduler, or Die Cut department.
Communication
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, customer service, and warehouse team members.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in company training and development opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process improvements.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Valid forklift certification (or the ability to successfully obtain certification through company training).
- Minimum 2–3 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
- Must be available to work any shift (days, afternoons or midnights)
