Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a dedication to customer care and a strong understanding of various massage techniques to meet individual client needs. The Massage Therapist will create a calming environment and ensure each client receives personalized treatment in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
- Assess clients’ physical conditions and discuss their wellness goals to develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend ongoing wellness practices.
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress while respecting confidentiality.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and address any concerns or special requests.
- Stay current with industry trends and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, and massage therapy techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong communication skills for explaining treatment procedures and listening to client needs.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a calming demeanor at all times.
- Prior experience in a spa or wellness setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends may be beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
