Food Service Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food preparation and safety standards, and ensuring smooth restaurant or hospitality operations. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service, managing team performance, and upholding food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer experiences
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to meet quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding hospitality and service standards
- Conduct interviewing and hiring of new staff members to build a competent team
- Monitor food safety practices, proper food handling, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with safety standards
- Manage restaurant or hotel operations related to food service including barista or serving duties as needed
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within the food industry or restaurant management roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Ability to oversee restaurant or hospitality operations including hotel or barista experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable
- Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and foster a positive work environment
Pay: $18.50-$25.00 per hour
