Job Overview:
A Restaurant Manager at Tim Hortons plays a vital role in driving day-to-day operations, ensuring top-tier guest service, and fostering a high-performing, positive work environment. Based in London, Ontario, this position requires a proactive, hands-on leader who exemplifies our core values, motivates the team, and ensures operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence

Lead daily operations with a “Guests Come First” attitude, model outstanding service.

Ensure compliance with all Tim Hortons operational standards, food safety regulations, and sanitation protocols.

Develop team schedules, assign duties, and maintain proper shift coverage.

Serve as Floor Leader during peak periods to optimize service.

Communicate daily focus areas and shift updates across teams.
-
Support and execute company-wide incentive programs.
Financial Management

Plan and manage budgets to achieve sales and transaction targets.

Control key costs including food, paper, and labour.

Oversee cash handling, deposits, financial reporting, and timecard verification for payroll.

Monitor supply ordering and inventory levels to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Team Leadership & Development

Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse and inclusive team.

Foster a respectful, motivating workplace through daily huddles and open communication.

Identify and develop high-potential team members for future leadership roles.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching.

Promote a culture of recognition using organizational tools and creative methods.
Health & Safety Compliance

Enforce all health, safety, and employment standard policies.

Conduct regular workplace inspections and ensure adherence to safety practices.

Report incidents, injuries, or any non-compliance to the General Manager or Owner promptly.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2–5 years in food service management, preferably in a high-volume setting such as a café, bakery, or restaurant.
Education:
High school diploma required; post-secondary education in hospitality or business is an asset.
Skills:

Strong leadership, team-building, and organizational skills

Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities

Proven ability to train, motivate, and manage performance

Knowledge of restaurant financial practices and supply management
Certifications:
Serve Safe Certification or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
Availability:
Must be willing to relocate (if required) and available to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
