Maintenance Technician / Equipment Technician
Compensation: $27.00-$32.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus performance-based summer and winter bonuses, paid overtime, and paid on-call work.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with their hands, and solving problems independently. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing car wash equipment and facilities while helping ensure minimal downtime and a first-class customer experience.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within a stable, locally owned business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automatic and self-serve car wash equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and service calls.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
- Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, hoses, gearboxes, drive chains, belts, sensors, and related equipment.
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, and facility maintenance tasks as required.
- Experience with overhead doors and door operators would be considered an asset.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Interact professionally with customers when responding to service issues.
- Assist with facility improvements and special projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance, mechanical, industrial, automotive, or related experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
- Experience with motors, pumps, controls, welding, electrical troubleshooting, industrial equipment, or related mechanical systems would be considered a strong asset.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime when required.
- This position is based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Due to the on-call responsibilities associated with the role, applicants must live within a reasonable distance of our Charlottetown operations to allow for timely response to service calls when required.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry 25+ pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull.
- Work around moving mechanical equipment.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
