Compensation: $30.00 / hour + HST
Security Requirement: Active RCMP FA2 (Facility Access Level 2) Clearance – MANDATORY
We are immediately hiring experienced construction professionals for an upcoming project in Newmarket, ON. We are looking for skilled individuals who can execute the interior wall preparation process—from framing to finishing.
Whether you are an expert in a specific stage of the process or a multi-skilled tradesperson capable of handling the entire scope from start to finish, we want to hear from you. Candidates capable of managing all phases of the install will be prioritized for the full duration of the project.
Due to the nature of the work site, all candidates must hold an active RCMP FA2 clearance to be considered.
Depending on your specific area of expertise, your daily tasks will include:
Framing: Constructing metal or wood stud framing and tracks according to project layouts; ensuring structures are square and level.
Boarding/Drywalling: Measuring, cutting, and securely installing drywall sheets to walls and ceilings with precision.
Finishing: Applying tape, bedding compound, and mud coats over joints; sanding and finishing surfaces to a clean, smooth, paint-ready texture.
Security Clearance: You must currently hold a valid RCMP FA2 (Facility Access Level 2) clearance. Applicants without this active clearance cannot be allowed on site.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience in framing, boarding, or mudding/taping.
Tools & PPE: Must have your own trade-specific hand/power tools and standard personal protective equipment (Steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses).
Business Structure: Must be set up to bill with HST ($30/hr + HST).
Reliability: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliable transportation to the job site in Newmarket.
