POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Electrician is responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment throughout the Bradshaw Mine operation. This role supports underground and surface mining activities by ensuring electrical infrastructure, mobile equipment, and fixed plant systems are maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform electrical inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underground and surface electrical systems and equipment.

Install, test, commission, and maintain electrical equipment in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, and company standards.

Troubleshoot electrical faults and equipment failures to minimize downtime and support production objectives.

Maintain mine power distribution systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, motors, pumps, fans, and associated infrastructure.

Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of underground mobile equipment electrical systems as required.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.

Complete preventative and predictive maintenance activities in accordance with established maintenance programs.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and work orders within the site's maintenance management system.

Assist with electrical upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement projects.

Support the training and development of apprentices and other maintenance personnel as required.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in workplace inspections, safety meetings, and hazard identification activities.

Work collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance, and contractors to achieve site objectives.

Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas and shops.

Participate in emergency response activities as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification.

Interprovincial Red Seal endorsement preferred.

Minimum 3 years of electrical experience in mining, heavy industrial, or related industrial environments.

Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment.

Strong understanding of electrical safety practices, applicable codes, and regulations.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

Experience working with motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), substations, switchgear, pumps, fans, and industrial control systems is considered an asset.

Familiarity with underground mining operations is considered an asset.

Experience with PLCs and instrumentation systems is considered an asset.

Basic computer skills and experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) are considered an asset.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid Ontario Driver's Licence.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The role is located in Timmins, Ontario, Canada.

The ideal candidate for the role will work a schedule of 7 days on and 7 off, 12-hour shifts. Although you will be assigned a work schedule, this is not a guaranteed schedule of hours, and your work hours may vary with the needs of the company.
