Dixon Automotive Group Canada Ltd. is Hiring – Automotive Service Technician
Dixon Automotive Group is a local, family-owned and operated company proudly serving our communities through Kia of Brockville, Smiths Falls Kia, Brockville Nissan, six Dixon’s Car & Truck Rental locations, and three CarStar body shops.
We are currently seeking a motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team.
About the Role
This position is ideal for an apprentice who has completed foundational training and is looking to further develop their diagnostic and repair skills under the guidance of experienced, licensed technicians. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, committed to their trade, and invested in growing within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire installations, and brake services
- Assist with diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals
- Execute preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
- Repair or replace defective parts and components under supervision
- Test repaired vehicles to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Complete electronic work orders, inspections, and service reports accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician (Ontario) or Fully licensed.
- 1–3 years of hands-on shop experience preferred
- Valid G Driver’s Licence
- Must have own basic set of tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in modern vehicle technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Logical problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet standard repair times while maintaining quality workmanship
- Good vision, hearing, and sense of smell for diagnostic purposes
