Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated HVAC Helper to assist our technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both commercial and residential environments. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist HVAC technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance work
- Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
- Help install ductwork, piping, thermostats, condensers, furnaces, rooftop units, and related HVAC components
- Clean and prepare work areas before and after jobs
- Load and unload company vehicles with equipment and materials
- Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks under supervision
- Follow safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Support both residential and commercial service calls as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience considered an asset
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in various weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and on ladders
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
