We are currently hiring for the position of:
Seasonal Retail Sales Associate
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory/Merchandising:
Merchandise handling, restocking, organizing, folding, receiving, inventory counting and pricing
Maintain cleanliness and an appealing aesthetic of TIFF Shop
Operations:
Greet, observe, actively listen to and engage with customers
Monitor customer traffic to uphold safety and accessibility
Demonstrate product knowledge and interact with customers around the Shop to meet their needs and drive sales
Perform accurate transactions on POS system
Open and closing duties as assigned
Other duties as required - based on business needs

Festival Requirements: Full Time during Festival (September 10 - September 20, 2026)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
2+ years experience in retail and/or customer service position
system (Knowledge of Givex POS and/or Shopify is an asset)
Previous cash handling experience
SKILL:
Strong communication skills
Takes direction well
Excellent customer service - able to hold a conversation
Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Interest in film, non-profits, arts and culture is considered an asset
Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be available to work from September 10 - September 20, 2026 of the entire Toronto International Film Festival.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
May be required to stand for an 8-hour shift
Some physical activity required including lifting items up to 35 lbs
