Job Duties
· Responsible for timely, accurate and complete cost estimating for assigned custom retail store fixtures projects composed of primarily Metal
· Create material takeoffs and labour estimates according to specifications
· Solicits subcontractors and or suppliers for information and pricing
· Coordinates with different team members to confirm complete scope of project
· Research specific material to be used when required
· Creates budget friendly proposals for customers with limited information
· Analyzes completed projects, to compare actual numbers to estimated numbers and determine the reasons for the discrepancies
· Other duties are assigned
Key Skills
· Ability to read and interpret drawings and blue prints
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook. Word would be an asset
· Able to work within the time sensitive schedules & tight deadlines
· Self-directed and motivated to achieve results
· Attentive, on-time, organized and detail oriented
· Ability to multitask and monitor and prioritize multiple jobs to meet deadlines
· Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
· Customer focus – primarily deals with internal customers
· Must be familiar with manufacturing processes in both wood and/or metal manufacturing
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials pricing, and industry standards is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate estimations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our company's success through precise estimation work while collaborating on diverse projects in the construction sector.
- 2+ years experience estimating custom metal manufactured products.
- Experience estimating retail store fixtures would be ideal.
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
