Position Summary
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing residential and commercial HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC equipment.
- Install replacement parts and components as needed.
- Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance requirements to customers.
- Complete service reports and work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC service experience.
- Valid HVAC certification/license.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of residential HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Technician License (G2) or equivalent.
- Refrigeration certification (ODP).
- Experience with smart thermostats and modern HVAC control systems.
- Sheet metal and installation experience (preferred but not required)
