Our plants specialize in the manufacturing, fabrication, and repair of a large variety of medium to larger sized products, principally used in all aspects of the mining industry.

Your duties and responsibilities:
- Responsibilities and duties will vary with the welders developed areas of specialization in consideration of experience and education weighed with internal Welding classification requirements
- Set-up, operate and maintain machinery and equipment
- Set up, run and assemble established production parts as needed
- Read and interpret drawings, weld specification symbols, established weld procedures, preheat and post heat specifications and tolerance requirements
- Read and understand required measurement tools, gauges and demonstrate consistent measurement repeatability
- Perform precision welding operations
- Repetitive tasks of welding various components using existing jigs, fixtures and mechanized or automated positioners
- Welding of fabrications or assemblies, and/or pre-assemble production parts (depending on skills and abilities)
- Work safely and in compliance with regulations and company policies
- Other duties as required
What you need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of machines, equipment, tooling, techniques and materials
- Completion of a recognized college or welding trade specific program
- Must have current CWB flat & horizontal flux core and overhead SMAW stick welding tickets as a minimum (requirement)
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints and welding symbols
- Torch cutting experience
- Sub-arc/arc air experience an asset
- Experience welding in an industrial setting an asset
- Preference given to those with a college diploma in Welding
- Red Seal an asset for some classifications, but not required (fitting experience may be considered in lieu of Red Seal in some classifications)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn
The performance of the successful candidate will be measured against the responsibilities, duties and accountabilities listed in the job description. Determination of welding classification will be in consideration of a combination of education, experience, skills and abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.70-$42.98 per hour
