Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team on the Night Shift (4:30pm to 3:00am). In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking heavy equipment repair services. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, and facilitating communication between customers and the service department. Your expertise in customer service and mechanical knowledge will help ensure a seamless experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive at the service department.
- Listen to customer concerns and document their requests accurately.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer information and ensure proper service execution.
- Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer’s vehicle performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and any additional recommendations from technicians.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in an heavy truck repair or dealership environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle issues and communicate effectively with both customers and technicians.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly to customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Sales experience with a focus on upselling services is a plus.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
