Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Building Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the Condo Building in downtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in industrial maintenance, and leadership capabilities to supervise maintenance teams and coordinate projects. This role is vital in ensuring the building's systems function optimally, safety standards are met, and operational disruptions are minimized.
Duties
- Manage daily building operations
- Supervise maintenance and cleaning staff and coordinate schedules for routine inspections and repairs.
- Oversee project management for upgrades, renovations, or repairs, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety inspections.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or installations
- Lead emergency response efforts related to building systems failures or safety hazards.
- Develop preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Ensure all building systems operate efficiently to support manufacturing or operational activities.
Qualifications
- Proven management and supervisory experience in industrial or commercial facilities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and documentation.
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
