Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Painter/Laborer to join our painting team. You will be part of a crew working on various residential and commercial projects in the Winnipeg area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in painting or similar labor positions is an asset but not a necessity. Full training will be provided for those with a high level of drive and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and taping prior to painting or finishing work
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers and spray equipment
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times
- Support the team with general labor duties including material handling, scaffolding setup, and site cleanup
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met
Requirements
- Prior experience in residential or commercial painting is preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
- Ability to work 35+ hours per week
- Experience with power tools including drills, sanders, or spray equipment is advantageous
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
